Bluegrass Gospel Night - A talented bunch of bluegrass musicians, including our multi-talented Pastor “Dr. D”, and their loyal followers, meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. at “The Crossing”. Their performances are free, open to the public, and so enjoyable you might even want to get up and dance!

Children - Vacation Bible School, Children’s Church, Sunday School for ages 4+.

Disciples Mission Fund - First Christian Church cooperates with other Congregations in our denomination to fund mission work in the U.S. and around the world. Each Congregation voluntarily tithes as much to the Disciples Mission Fund as they deem appropriate. Over the years our Congregation has proven to be exceptionally supportive of this great fund and the work that they do. The Disciples Mission Fund also supports the work of our national office in Indianapolis, IN, and contributes to the funding of our denomination’s seminaries and colleges. For more information, access their Web Site at www.disciplesmissionfund.org.

Local Evangelism - This hardy group works within our community to share the love of Christ. Some recent projects include the Business Expo, Chocolate Festival, Trunk or Treat, passing out water and Church information to North Arkansas College students, donating throw blankets, and providing welcome packets to realtors to give to Harrison newcomers.

Mission Trips - The youth have been on seven annual mission trips affiliated with Group Work Camps. They raise money for the trips by doing various “chores” for donors and also with the Valentine's Day Dance and the ever-popular Wild Game Dinner. Many of our adults have also completed week-long missionary efforts in Lake Charles and in New Orleans, LA during the past 3 summers.

Mothers of Pre-Schoolers (MOPS) - MOPS is one of FCC's family outreach initiatives. It is an organization established to meet the needs of every mother with children - from birth through kindergarten. MOPS recognizes that all mothers share a common desire to be the best mothers possible and is here to encourage, equip and assist them in striving to realize their goal.

Music - Our Congregation is abundantly blessed with a host of wonderful musically talented people. They make up the many ways in which we raise praise to God via voices and instruments. Our musical groups range from our Chancel Choir, to Hand bells, Piano and Organ, Praise Team singers and Band and not to forget our delightful Children's Choir.

Nursery - We have care available for two age groups. A warm, loving, accepting environment for newborns through age 2 with exceptional caregivers Diane and Nikki and our new pre-school room with Hailey.

Social Action – This group oversees local outreach and financial assistance to community charities and organizations, such as the annual Harrison Sharefest, food drives for Share and Care, needs for Ozark Humane Society, K-Life and other organizations.

Shepherds - A program by which Elders and other volunteers from the congregation provide watchful care and concern for fellow Church members.

Wednesday Night - During the school year, our Church gathers each Wednesday Night for a time of fellowship and study. Beginning Fall of 2010 Spiritual Growth University will be in session. Classes for all ages are offered. A snack is served each Wednesday night beginning at 5:00pm and classes are from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.

Youth - Our incredible herd of young ones focuses on growing up to be like Christ using “Dr. D’s” program “the 9 ways” as a guide up their path to Spiritual Growth. There are weekly Bible studies, complemented by several trips and retreats throughout the year. We also coordinate with K-Life for post-sporting event activities at “The Crossing”. For more information, please visit the Youth page or, if one of our youth will explain how, visit our youth’s own Web Site – “Young Disciples”.
