Welcome to the Disciples Youth Web Page. We are a welcoming community focusing on “Growing Up” to be more like Christ. Cindy Adler is our Christian Education and Yourth Director. Contact Cindy at caadler_34@yahoo.com
"Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:11-13)
By using our Pastor Dr. David Artman’s “the 9 ways” we are working together to “grow up” through prayer, study, worship, fellowship, service, giving, sharing your faith, showing compassion and spiritual honesty.
Disciples Youth Ministry seeks to serve youth, parents of youth and adult youth sponsors so they may experience an ongoing relationship with God through Christ and become God’s servant people in the world.
Our youth enjoy a variety of ministry-oriented activities that they can participate in during the year. These include:
Gatherings at "The Crossing" on Friday nights after football and basketball games. We open our youth area to the youth of Harrison after ball games so they can come and hang out in a safe environment. Lock-ins are held yearly as well as Girls Night Out and Boys Night Out. We now have movies on our big outdoor screen.
Weekly Bible Studies during Sunday school, Wednesday Night Fellowship and Sunday night Youth Fellowship.
Vacation Bible School is held each year in the summer, to provide a fun and educational experience for our youngsters and all who help make the program such a success each year. See all the fun at VBS 2009 and VBS 2010 and VBS 2011.
Annual Mission Trips to locations within the U.S. These trips include amazing worship, awesome fellowship and a week worth of service to those less fortunate. Great time in the spring of 2011 in New Orleans.
Occaisional Trips to Washington, D.C. and out West for some skiing. Washington DC 2011 was amazing!
Retreats and Camps for all ages are scheduled throughout the year with the Disciples of Christ denomination and other groups.
