| The Disciples Men's group meets at 6:30AM every Wednesday in our Church Parlor. Fellowship begins with greetings, coffee, talk about sports, weather, more talk about sports, and then discussions about people (in and out of our Congregation) whose situations are of concern. Roger Collier then updates members on the condition of our Treasury and actions may be voted upon to help those in need. One of the members then presents a ten minute inspirational message and its off to the Homey Hearth for breakfast!. | Pictured here are many of the members of the group. Some members not shown in the photo: Ken Allen, Ronnie Ramsey and Ed Warabow.
Disciples Men was formed 40+ years ago by Gene Holman, and Roger Collier was one of the early members. These gentlemen also conduct annual projects to benefit our Church and others in need. Such projects range from funding Christmas Dinner for inmates at the Boone County Jail; both our Easter Sunrise Breakfast and Wild Game Dinner, plus donating funds to support missionaries. |
